Carl Walter Haberecht, 66, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Saturday March 21, 2026, at Wooster Hospital following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Broken Grounds, 214 W Jackson Street, Millersburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Broken Grounds or Alexander Funeral Home to help defray costs.

Carl was born July 25, 1959, in Wooster, Ohio and was the son of the late Edgar and Fay Haberecht.

Carl had a passion for cooking; he studied culinary arts and worked for The West Fork Restaurant, Rodhe’s IGA, and most recently at Broken Grounds Coffee Company.

Carl enjoyed Rock N Roll music, playing drums, he was an avid cigar collector and had a passion for survival gear. Carl often shared treasures he purchased online with his friends. Carl loved animals, especially his cats Ben and Axel and his dog Mack.

He liked dining at local spots such as the Farmer Boy for Friday night fish, Coccia House Pizza, and the Curry Pot. Carl was a huge football fan; his favorite teams were the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and the Miami Dolphins.

Carl will be missed by his community in Millersburg. Carl’s final resting place will be with his parents at Wayne Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wooster Ohio.
