Pearl Valley Cheese leader emphasizes business and agriculture experience in campaign

For nearly 40 years, I have helped lead the hardworking team
at Pearl Valley Cheese through building projects, process innovations, and
steady growth in both production and staffing. Just as importantly, we’ve
worked to increase our impact in the community. With a long-term vision in
place, we’ve now successfully transitioned management to the fourth generation
of our family. I am confident the next generation will continue to build on
that success through innovation, perseverance, and hard work.
Owning and managing a business requires constantly looking
ahead, planning, while carefully considering the unintended consequences of
decisions. I believe those same qualities are essential for effective county
leadership. As commissioner, I look forward to supporting projects like the
Conesville Industrial Park, continued water infrastructure expansion, and the
collaborative efforts of county tourism, Our Town, and the Port Authority to
promote Coshocton as a destination for growth and opportunity.

My experience in agriculture has also allowed me to build
strong relationships with families involved in our county’s largest industry.
Supporting innovation in dairy, livestock, and grain operations will remain
critical as we work to create opportunities for future generations. Programs
like FFA and 4-H led by dedicated teachers and volunteers are shaping the next
generation in ways that will benefit our workforce and community for years to
come.
As our region continues to grow, one of the challenges we
must thoughtfully address is housing. While county government does not directly
build housing, it plays an important role in ensuring that the right
infrastructure, such as water, sewer, and road access is in place to support
responsible private investment. By planning wisely and working collaboratively,
we can encourage development that meets the needs of families and seniors while
also protecting the prime farmland that remains vital to our local economy.
I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the many
individuals and organizations who generously give their time and resources to
make Coshocton County such a special place to live and work. Our time at Pearl
Valley Cheese has allowed us to partner with and support many of these efforts,
and I am grateful for the shared commitment to seeing our community thrive.
The two current commissioners bring a wealth of experience
in law enforcement and banking/finance. I’m asking voters to consider whether
adding proven business leadership, agricultural experience, and a strong
background in community involvement will provide the balance needed to move our
county forward? I appreciate the support
during this campaign and ask for your vote.
