Joann Carol Hannahs, 88, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.

Jo was born on September 2, 1937, in West Lafayette to the late Glenn Cutshall and Lucile (Smith) Cutshall McCormick. She graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1955 and graduated from the Ruth Brandt School of Nursing in Martin’s Ferry in 1958.

She worked at Coshocton Hospital for 41 years as a registered nurse and was one of the founding members of Tri-County Ambulance Service. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling and playing in leagues. She also liked visiting casinos and playing table games.

On June 21, 1958, Jo married Donald “Tid” Hannahs, who passed away October of 2022.

She is survived by her three children, Connie (Jon) Campbell, Kevin (Tammy) Hannahs, and Donna Davis; her grandchildren Carlie (Talor) Woodard, Cassidy (Andrew) Lewis, Connor (Brittany) Campbell, Lauren Rine, Leandra Bush, Lyndley (Chyna) Hannahs, John “JD” (Lauren) Davis, and Hannah Davis (Casey Kirker); 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Mary T. Hunt; her stepbrother Floyd McCormick; her sister-in-law Nancy Hannahs; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Joann was preceded in death by her infant son David Wayne Hannahs; two brothers, Jim Cutshall and Raymond “Ace” McCormick; and five step-siblings.

Per her wishes, a cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at the Addy Funeral Home.
