Developmental Disabilities board seeking new member

The Carroll County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a new board member due to the resignation of Denise Steffey.
A legal notice is published elsewhere in this issue, and applications are due by April 24 for the unexpired board term ending Dec. 31, 2027.
In other business at the March meeting, the board:
— Approved a resolution regarding an Early Intervention Baby Shower tentatively scheduled for May 14 with designated funds of $1,500.
— Approved a resolution for the revised personnel policies and procedures manual regarding a nine-month staff probationary period; new employee and volunteer background checks; performance evaluation program wording; staff orientation and training; attendance, call-offs and tardiness; staff conduct; dress code; tobacco and vape policy; employee compensation and benefits; and miscellaneous leaves.
— Approved payment of February bills in the general fund totaling $51,699.46 and payment of February bills in the residential services account totaling $24,993.62.
— Approved one new and three renewal applications for Family Selected Services and program division reports.
— Heard Superintendent Matt Campbell report on attending a Superintendent Executive Committee meeting via Zoom March 13, in which Ohio Association of County Board updates included proposed House Bill 225, elimination of subminimum wage, property tax issues and a Service and Support Administrators artificial intelligence pilot to reduce time spent on paperwork.
— Set the next meeting for April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the county board office located at 540 High St., Carrollton.
