Richard Gene Schworm , 92, of Newcomerstown, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 22, 1933, in Newcomerstown, to the late Elmer and Helen (Borkowski) Schworm. On December 24, 1952, he married Esther R. (Cutshall) Schworm who passed away in 2017.

Richard is survived by his children, Christine A. (Robert) McMullen of Newcomerstown, Richard G. Jr. (Karen) Schworm of Thayer, MO, Teresa L. Grewell of Nova, and Randy J. (Sheila) Schworm of Gnadenhutten; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; one step-great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Services will be Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11am at Addy Funeral Home with David Kenney officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
