Cleta D. Miller, age 73, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, following an extended illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Cleta was born February 17, 1953, in Coshocton, Ohio, and was the daughter of Cletus A. and Ethel J. (McVay) Varnes. She married Henry D. Miller and he survives.

Cleta worked seven years at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, 14 years at Rubbermaid, seven years at Walmart and previously worked at the Holmesville Inn.

She was a member of the Holmesville Conservation Club, the Millersburg Eagles and the American Legion Post 551 Melvin McClure, Holmesville. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, working on puzzles and she loved her wiener dog, Peanut.

She is survived by her husband, Henry D. Miller; children: Lee Albert Hantzsche, Dawn Diane (Brian) Shearer, Norma Jean (Robin E.) Chaney, Brian Dean (Geneva) Miller and Brenda Kaye (William) Hershberger; 12 grandchildren: Cory, Taylor, Hunter, Bristol, Kaitlynn, Kayla, Brandi, Jessica, Mercedes, Talon, Milani and Armani; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol D.(Richard) Miser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Sherry Logan, Mary Lou Johnson, and Debbie K. James.
