Rose Barbara Beadnell
Rose Barbara Beadnell, 95, of Brushcreek, Ohio, went to be home with the Lord Nov. 19, 2025, in Steubenville, Ohio.
Rose was born Jan. 5, 1930, a daughter of the late Fabyan “Frank” Pozderac and Caroline (Bellan) Pozderac.
Having lived all her life in the area, Rose was a graduate of Carrollton High School, Class of 1948; worked as a clerk for Hills Department Store and as a clerk for Huntington Bank until her retirement in 2008; was a member of the 50 Plus Club (over 50 years living in Monroeville); was a member of Salineville Church of Christ and had formerly attended Riley’s Church, where she played organ for many years. Rose had a passion for sewing, quilting, and crochet. She was always donating hats and scarves she handmade to the needy. She also loved to read.
Rose is survived by a daughter-in-law and best friend, Alice (Crawford) Beadnell; a sister, Johanna Christy; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pozderac; grandchildren, Andrew Beadnell (Megan) of the home and Matthew and Jason Beadnell of Tennessee; step grandchildren, Kimberly Bargerhuff (Scott) and Jennifer Pitts (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Riley Corbett and Landon Bargerhuff; special great-grandchildren, Aubrie Rose Beadnell and Janson Albert Beadnell; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Beadnell, whom she married Dec. 27, 1948, and who died in 1984; a son, Martin Beadnell; a brother, Michael Pozderac; a sister, Maryann Javersak; and a brother, Emil “Sonny” Pozderac.
A memorial service will be held at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Mowery officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
