Dennis Duane Miller
Dennis Duane Miller, of Salineville, Ohio, died peacefully at home Jan. 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Dennis was born June 24, 1948, in Wadsworth, Ohio, a son of the late Duane Miller and Mary (Lindeman) Miller and was raised on a dairy farm in Doylestown.
He graduated from Doylestown High School in 1966. There he met Becky, and they quickly became high school sweethearts. They married May 6, 1967, and spent the next 58 years together.
His occupation and hobby was farming. He farmed in Doylestown, Canal Fulton, Carrollton and Salineville. He had a vast knowledge of farming practices. He loved driving through his beef cattle herd and looking for newborn calves, making hay, planting crops and seeing the results of his hard work at harvest.
Along with farming, he was an owner-operator over-the-road truck driver for many years. He traveled the length and breadth of the United States hauling items ranging from produce to livestock. He always had an interesting story to tell of his trucking adventures.
In his spare time, he was an avid fan of Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. He loved traveling with Becky and visited many national and state parks. His favorite was Monument Valley, where many John Wayne movies were filmed.
He was a Cleveland Indians baseball fan and traveled to many spring training games in both Florida and Arizona. He loved his family and enjoyed conversations with his sons, Dennis Jr. and Brad, and his grandsons. He was a strong, determined, independent, rugged individual who achieved his goal of farming for his lifetime. He was loved fiercely and will be greatly missed.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Becky (Rasche) Miller; two sons, Dennis Miller Jr. (Megan Helm) of Carrollton and Brad Miller (Patty) of Minerva; two brothers, Rick Miller (Sue) of Doylestown and Robert Miller (Linda) of Doylestown; a sister, Jill Villers (Larry) of Orrville; and four grandchildren, Joshua Miller (Dakota), Austin Miller (Allysa), Brenton Miller (Gabriella) and Chance Miller.
A celebration of life is being planned at a later date.
Dennis will be laid to rest on his farm.
The family requests that, in memory of Dennis, a tree be planted. This may be done using the link on the obituary page.
