Kent Hodgeson
Kent Douglas Hodgeson, 87, son of Douglas Kent Hodgeson and Virginia Lucille (Shoup) was born July 20, 1938, in Millersburg, Ohio. Kent passed away January 4, 2026, under the care of the Prescott Arizona VA.
Preceded by his parents, sister Kay Low and brother Steve Hodgeson.
After graduating from Millersburg High School in 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He became an electrician’s mate and served on the USS Intrepid and USS Forrestal between 1956 and 1959. His visit to Pompeii was his most memorable.
He married Sandra Peacock in 1960, and they welcomed two daughters, Nancy (Prosser) and Joan (Howell) who survive as well as granddaughter Lauren and great-grandson Bradley.
He retired from US Motors and J & G Sales in Prescott, Arizona.
In 1975 he met and married Norma Towne who preceded him in death in 2008.
He enjoyed trips to National Forests, reading Clive Cussler novels, his pet cats and dogs, big game hunting, and collecting guns.
There was a private family memorial in Chino Valley, Arizona.
