Karren Leppla
Karren L. Leppla, 77, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Aultman Hospital surrounded by her family following a brief illness.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 6 at Alexander Funeral Home. Pastor Jocelyn Smolik officiated. A burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Friends were able to call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Holmes County Home Activity Fund, 7260 State Route 83, Holmesville, Ohio 44633.
Karren was born January 5, 1948, in Millersburg, Ohio, and was the daughter of Carl A and Maxine L. (Miller) Leppla. She was a teacher at Millersburg Elementary School for 33 years and during retirement volunteered at the school often including playing piano for many musical programs.
Karren celebrated family and friend’s birthdays each year by calling and playing Happy Birthday on the piano to them. Karren was a lifelong member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church. She loved her hometown of Millersburg and could often be seen walking throughout the town. Karren is survived by her brothers, Steve Leppla and Kevin (Becky) Leppla; nieces and nephews Carla Niziolek, Ben, Luke, Nick, Brandon, and Alyssa Leppla. She was preceded in death by her parents.
