Roy Hershberger went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 6, 2025. He passed at his home surrounded by the love of his family, his favorite place to be.
He was born in Hartville on Sept. 3, 1944, and remained in that area most of his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy Osteen, Pamela (Dennis) Stewart and Darla Terrell; his sister, Judy (Bob) Dever; his grandsons, Rob (Karen), Corey (Danielle), Kyle (Cheyenne), Logan (Tawny), Denison, Eric, Kelly (Tony), Scott and Garrin; his great-granddaughter, Riley; his beloved niece, Tawna, who was like a daughter, and her children, Shane, Serena and River, who were like grandchildren; his longtime friend and roommate, Patricia; his bonus daughter, Robin (Ryan), and bonus grandson, Vada; and many others he called family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lizzie (Miller) Hershberger; his siblings, Jake Hershberger, Mary (Henry) Coblentz, Fannie Greathouse, Gertrude Hershberger, Sarah Yoder and Alvin Hershberger; and his nieces and nephews, Timothy, Lori, Brett and Debbie.
He was retired from the produce business, which he loved. He had a generous heart, and his love language was bringing food to everyone he knew. He loved the Lord and his family fiercely and will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at the Uniontown Community Park Hall on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 2 to 6 p.m., at 3696 Apollo Street, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
