The Uniontown Lions Festival will return Aug. 19-22 with rides, entertainment, vendors, bingo, a parade and fireworks at the HRM Complex.

The Uniontown Lions Club is sponsoring its 31st annual festival for the community to raise funds to support its various community service and outreach programs. This year’s Lions Festival will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19-22, on the grounds of the HRM Complex adjacent to Hartville Marketplace.

This year’s festival theme is “Liberty & Justice for All,” and the grand marshals are retired Maj. Larry C. Shubat, U.S. Army, and Dennis K. Boley, chairman of the Uniontown All Veterans Memorial Committee. Both represent all individuals who fought for and maintain liberty and allow the nation to support justice for all and honor those individuals.

The festival consists of a 50/50 drawing twice nightly, rides, food vendors, product service vendors and other crafters, as well as live entertainment nightly. Bingo and other chance games will also be available every evening, and there will be a parade at 5 p.m. Saturday. The festival concludes with fireworks at 10:30 p.m. Saturday evening.
