Norma J. (Reed) Smith, age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, in her home. She was born in Tippecanoe, Ohio on February 11, 1935, to the late William Paul Reed and Ruth Lucille Reed. Norma is now rejoicing in Heaven with her late husband of 43 years, William “Bill” Smith.

She was a graduate of the Cadiz High School Class of 1954 and retired from the State of Ohio.

She is survived by her three sisters, Beverly R. Poppe, New Bremen, Ohio, Joy S. (Jerry) Long, Longmont, Colorado and Sharon L. Reed, Hilliard, Ohio, her close friend Deborah “Debbie” Davis, Columbus, Ohio, nieces, Barbara Poppe, Jill MacKenzie, Sandy Green, and Holly Teague and nephew, Kris Poppe. She was preceded in death by her niece, Amy Hooper.

Norma was known for her kindness and warmth. She loved a good laugh and to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed travel with her husband and later with her good friend, Debbie. The family would like to thank the Ashford on Broad for their care and assistance.

Norma will be laid to rest next to her husband at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
