Betty Lou Dunlevy, age 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1926, in Coshocton, to the late Harvey and Lyda (Bible) Thomson.
She was a 1945 graduate of Coshocton High School and worked for Shaw-Barton for many years. On April 24, 1948, she married Loren “Bud” Dunlevy and together they spent 64 years of marriage until his passing on September 27, 2012.
Betty was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 26 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird feeding, caring for Bama and her other feline buddies over the years, sewing, spending time with her family and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.
She is survived by her children, William “Bill” (Ellen) Dunlevy of West Lafayette, Brenda (Fred) Crouso of Coshocton and Rebecca “Becky” (Rodney) Dobson of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Joshua (Tammy) Dunlevy, Heather (Tim) Wilson, Ashley Crouso Jordan, Eric (Tosha) Dobson, Kyle (Michelle) Dobson and Chelsea (Sam) Runnels; 15 great-grandchildren, Lucretia (Morgan) Echois, Courtney (Brian) Austin, Hannah (John) Smith, Ellie (Xavier) Kelley, Samantha (Kristopher) Scheurman, Sadie Wilson, Levi and Luke Dobson, Trayce and Addy Dobson, Emma and Avery Runnels, Peyton (Angel) Crouso, Wesley McDaniels and Jazz McDaniels; 13 great-great grandchildren; two nephews, Mike and Phil Patterson and a host of other loving family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Richard Thomson and sister Geraldine Patterson.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home with Reverend Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery.
