Foam party at Meadows of Cadiz celebrates summer’s end
The Meadows of Cadiz held a foam party Aug. 12. The event was to celebrate summer’s end and provide fun before heading back to school.
Those attending were entertained by 14-year-old Evan Conn, who played guitar and sang a variety of music to the delight of the crowd. Even a few dancers joined in.
The foam party was enjoyed by many young people as well as a few residents. Foam was provided by Ohio Valley Foamz.
Other entertainment for the day included face painting, cotton candy treats, popcorn and cookies. Insane Food Train and Clay’s Ice Cream helped celebrate as well.
“Our goal is to have a great time with our residents, our staff, kids and the community nearby and just to celebrate the end of summer. We haven’t done a lot of community-based events since COVID, it’s time. We really wanted to do something that would bring joy to our staff, and to their families and to our residents. Because that’s why we’re here,” said Sarah Manning, LNHA.
Several young people were VIPs and toured the facility, even helping with the setup for the fun day.
