Families enjoy games and sweet corn
Schumaker Farms hosted its first sweet corn festival Aug. 9-10. Not only did they have some great food both days but also great family fun including giant slides, games and hamster wheels, a corn maze and a straw maze, hayrides, farm animals including goats, donkeys, pot belly pigs, and peacocks and some vintage tractors to see from the Coshocton Antique Tractor Club.
The 2025 West Lafayette Junior Queen Lily Edwards and Layla Smith Bakersville 2025 Little Tractor Princess attended the festival. “As pageant queens, they visit a certain amount of festivals and since they are little, we can choose the festival and this is one of them,” said Layla’s mom, Joy Smith. “Then we can spread the word about our festivals and hopefully more people will come next year.”
Eleven-year-old Lucas Albert, Briella Albert, 7, and Gianna Albert, 5, were having a great time on the giant slides and hamster wheels with their grandparents.
