A. Carole Dial, age 85, of Glenmont, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon Monday, August 11, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. Pastor Mark Snow officiated. Burial took place at Union Grove Cemetery. Friends were able to call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Carole was born November 13, 1939, in Keene, Ohio. and was the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Hawkins) Chanay. On May 31, 1961, she married James Raymond Dial and he survives.
Carole was a homemaker and worked for Head Start for 10 years. She was a member of the Killbuck First Church of Christ where she helped with vacation bible school for several years. Carole was a former member of the Glenmont Ladies Auxiliary. She was a doll collector and an avid Elvis Presley fan. Carole sang with her sisters in local nursing homes for many years in a group they called The Chanay Sisters. She, along with her husband, loved bluegrass music, Elvis music, going to NASCAR races, traveling across the country together and enjoyed the fishing trips they took to Canada with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years are her two sons and their spouses: Jeffrey (Kathy) Dial of Bristol, Tennessee and Jerry (Lee) Dial of Glenmont, Ohio; six grandchildren: Kaeli, Alexx, Chandler, Chloe', Meagan and Thomas; five great-grandchildren: Sophie, Stella, Fiona, Camree and Asher; two sisters: Doris Eltringham of Killbuck and Jean Shinabarker of Glenmont; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Logan, Earl, Don and Dean Chanay; and one sister, Marie Roberts.
