Urban Barnwood Furniture, a manufacturer of fine hardwood furniture, is now Arista Wood. The new name was chosen to reflect the company’s wider range of hardwood furniture and long-term direction.
While reclaimed barnwood furniture will remain a staple of the Arista Wood product line, the company also offers a variety of hardwood species in collections that range from traditional to refined and modern.
Arista comes from the Greek for “the best” and is used to describe what stands apart and holds lasting value. The new name gives dealers one name that works across collections, store formats and regional markets, whether the focus is reclaimed, contemporary or classic.
Arista Wood worked with Canton-area agency Cassel Bear as its marketing partner throughout the renaming and brand development process.
“Arista Wood really reflects who we are now and where we’re headed," said Wayne Yoder, general manager of Arista Wood. "It lets us show the full range of what we build without locking us into one material or look. Urban Barnwood Furniture gave us a strong foundation, and Arista Wood builds on that with a name that can grow with us.”
