Save & Serve Thrift Shop raised $5,928 for Toward the Goal Ministries during a recent Benefit Day, turning inclement weather into support for a local mission focused on life transformation through leadership development and discipleship.
The store remained busy throughout the day as customers came out to shop and support the cause. Staff and board members from Toward the Goal Ministries volunteered as cashiers, engaging with shoppers and expressing gratitude for the partnership with Save & Serve.
“Benefit Days are about more than fundraising,” said Eric Raber, Save & Serve general manager. “They’re about connection. Having the Toward the Goal team in the store sharing their mission reminds us why this program matters.”
Toward the Goal Ministries is a faith-based organization that helps individuals and organizations grow as leaders through coaching, mentoring, life-skills training and spiritual guidance. The ministry focuses on helping people discover purpose and become who they were created to be in Jesus. Funds raised through the Benefit Day will support Toward the Goal’s mission to invest in others and provide a place of hope, encouragement and ongoing transformation.
Save & Serve’s Benefit Day program provides local organizations with a hands-on opportunity to raise funds while building relationships within the community. Each event highlights a partner organization and invites shoppers to support their work through everyday purchases.
