United Way offers mental health grants
Wayne and Holmes nonprofits can apply for up to $7,500 by March 6.
United Way Wayne & Holmes Counties is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations addressing mental health needs in Wayne and/or Holmes counties.
The funding opportunity will award grants of up to $7,500 to organizations providing services that support mental and behavioral health in the local community. United Way Wayne & Holmes Counties recognizes mental health as a critical priority and is committed to investing in programs that increase access, reduce barriers and improve outcomes for individuals and families.
Eligible applicants must be located in and serve Wayne and/or Holmes residents, provide services that directly address mental health needs, and demonstrate the ability to deliver services during the grant period.
Funding may be used for program-related expenses including personnel costs, which are recognized as a core component of mental health service delivery. Programs only located in Orrville, Dalton and Marshallville must apply for funding through Orrville Area United Way, as funding opportunities differ.
The application deadline is Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m. No late or incomplete applications will be reviewed. The application is available online at www.uwwh.org/get-funding under the 2026 Spring Mental Health Application. All questions must be submitted via email to info@uwwh.org.
Applications will be reviewed by the volunteer investment team using a standardized, community-informed scoring process to ensure fairness and alignment with local needs. Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the application carefully and submit all required information by the stated deadline.
