Francis John Strahler

Richard Ormesher

Francis (Frank) John Strahler, age 74, passed away at his home on February 6, 2026. He was born to Roy and Pauline Strahler on September 20, 1951.

Frank is survived by his brothers, Earl (BJ) Strahler, Edd Strahler, sister Marita (Tom) Opeka and nieces Renee Strahler, Tonya (Sid) Blevins, and Maggie (Zach) Vinka. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Carl Strahler.

He was a 1969 graduate of Field High School where he was a member of the cross country and track teams and attended The University of Akron. Frank retired from the Timken Bearing Co. after 25 years and previously spent time working with a gas well drilling crew. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg, the Eagles Club, Pike Grange, Pike Township Historical Society, Pike Township Zoning Commission, and the Stark County Farm Bureau.

Frank was never one to shy away from what was needed to be done. He was an excellent mechanic who fabricated what was needed for the task on hand. He seemed to be most happy when there was a problem to be solved. He was always busy and was never one to rest on his laurels. Frank was very intelligent and considerate and well liked in his community. He will be missed for his ambition and sense of humor.

Per his wishes, no visitation will take place. A small celebration of his life will be held at a later date for family members. (Hopkins Lawver, AKRON, 330-733-6271) hopkinslawver.com.
