Floyd A. Miller, 94, of Walnut Creek, Ohio, died peacefully, August 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Floyd was born on December 5, 1930, to Alvin and Becky (Hershberger) Miller. On November 4, 1954, he married the love of his life, Emma Yoder, with whom he enjoyed life for 70 years and 9 months.
Floyd was a man of the land, with a passion for farming. He lived his entire life in Mud Valley near Walnut Creek and spent countless hours working the soil with his tractors, providing for his family. In later years, he loved spending time on the back forty, riding his golf cart, fishing, feeding the fish, and many family outings. He also enjoyed woodworking projects like building toy barns and fences which his grandchildren greatly enjoy. He was a man of great faith, trusting God for his eternal salvation and the anchor for his soul. He was a faithful member at Bethel Fellowship Church where he enjoyed community and served as treasurer for many years.
In addition to his wife, Emma, he is survived by eight children: Ruth (Steve) Schlabach, Steve (Christina) Miller, Martha (Jay) Beachy, Carol (late Duane) Miller, Joe Miller, Grace (Wayne) Yoder, Susan (Darrel) Miller, Judy (Mark) Miller, 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, all who he cherished dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and their spouses: Carrie (Menno) Yoder, Nettie (Roy) Miller, Maudie (Alvin) Beachy and a son-in-law, Duane Miller.
Funeral service were held Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Bethel Fellowship Church, 4183 State Route 39, Millersburg, Ohio. Pastor Judson Schrock officiated. Burial was at the Bethel Church cemetery. Friends were able to call on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Bethel Church.
The family would like to thank church, friends, family, and neighbors for all the love, care, visits, food, and support throughout the years and especially during the past week.
