The Harrison County Regional Chamber of Commerce (HCRCC) held a breakfast meeting at the Ranch to Table Restaurant in Cadiz, and HCRCC Executive Director Milo Baker introduced the keynote speaker as Rebecca Orr, Chief Financial Officer of Southeast Health Care from Columbus, Ohio. Orr then introduced Jane Kalonick from Cadiz – Southeast Health Care. Together, the Southeast spokespersons covered services that are offered by the company. Topics such as suicide prevention, mental health issues, and training were part of the topics that were covered.

“Southeast employees about 550 people,” Orr said. “The operation expands throughout Ohio.

Behavior Health started in 1978 and has grown ever since. We also offer services to kids that are struggling with behavior and discipline issues. All our services are geared to meet the needs of the individual.”

“The training we offer is done in three different classrooms, with an attendance of 10 individuals per session. Both mental health and suicide prevention are two of the most offered and currently being serviced. We work with both Medicaid and Medicare and offer discounts on the services being delivered. We have a policy that no one can be turned down for services”

In other business, Baker spoke of a $1,000 scholarship to be given to a student at Harrison Central during the upcoming scholarship presentation ceremonies. Joyce Klingler of HCRCC spoke of how Baker talked to Ashley Doren over the subject of scholarships for the students at the career center. There were conversations that covered topics of future county magazines and other important dates of planned events.

Some of the dates that Janet Fenstamaker of HCRCC announced were Uptown Cadiz on Friday from 6-9; a car show at Tractor Supply on Saturday the 18th; Custer Day June 1; a concert June 7; and Deersville was added to the Ice Cream Trail of Ohio.
