Rod Albertson

CONESVILLE- Rodney K. Albertson, age 83, of Conesville passed away at Ohio's Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia on Sunday July 27, 2025. Born on August 14, 1941, in New Moscow, he was the son of the late Ralph and Irene (Phillips) Albertson.

Rod graduated from Conesville High School and the former Morris Harvey College (now University of Charleston) in 1964. He married his wife of 64 years, Faye Ann (Walters) Albertson on August 21, 1960. Following college graduation, Rod began his career working in the Insurance field and eventually moved back to Coshocton County. He and his wife both started working at what is now the Albertson Lawrence Agency in 1976. They purchased the business in 1979 and remained owners until 2011 when their two children took over.

Rod spent much of his time working and growing his Insurance & Financial Services business, but he also devoted a lot of time to coaching area children in Conesville youth leagues, refereeing, and mentoring many people through the Insurance Agency. He served on Conesville Village Council, the Conesville Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of Conesville United Methodist Church, and the Coshocton Elks Lodge. Rod thoroughly enjoyed hunting, especially his Elk hunting trips, and his yearly Canadian fishing trips. You could often find him attending his children's, and later his grandchildren's, sporting events. He was an avid West Virginia fan. Most recently, Rod cherished his lunch and dinner dates with his children. Rod never met a stranger and wherever he was, he could strike up a conversation about business or pleasure.In addition to his wife, Faye Ann, Rod is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Sam) Huff, and his son Michael (Sabrina) Albertson, all of Coshocton; grandchildren, MacKenzie (Christian) Tuel of Warsaw, Janessa Albertson of Lexington, KY, and Camden Albertson of Coshocton; his sister, Shirley Vickers of Conesville; and sister-in-law, Patty Albertson of Coshocton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert Albertson and Eugene Albertson; sister, Karen Shroyer; and sister-in-law, Beverly Albertson.Rod was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, business owner and mentor. His legacy will continue to live on through his wife, children, and their families.

The family would like to thank Windsorwood Place and Ohio's Hospice Truman House for their support and care.Friends and family were able to call at Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E. Main Street, Warsaw, on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Jones officiated. Burial followed at Valley View Cemetery.
