Homesteading: My dream homestead

Published Modified

My dream homestead would be having a learning center that I could teach the skills of the things I have learned since my youth and into adulthood. To have my husband teaching his skills of masonry and construction. Together, all of these things work in homesteading. Different aspects, but definitely they go hand in hand. In homesteading you always need infastructure.

Steve is able to do that for me for buildings that need built or fencing that needs done or wooden gates that need built, to a concrete area for my chicken processing. We have been blessed that we work well together. Together with our talents and ablilites that God has given us, we have been able to accomplish a good bit in the short amount of time that we’ve had this farm.

We have many dreams or visions of what we’d like to do here at Terra Bella Farm, we are just waiting on God to show us his vision for us. Until we have a clearer picture of what he wants, we just keep on dreaming until it all comes to fruition.

Another dream I have is to have an outdoor kitchen. We’ve talked about it several times, but it hasn’t yet developed. Perhaps, if the possibilty of a learning center ever develops, we could have an outdoor kitchen attached to that building. It’s in God’s hands to develop this in our minds and guide us and show us his vision for us. We are willing, we are just waiting for the open door.
