The hits just keep on coming or in this case, bids, and lots of them with local authorities attempting to clean up their communities. Another round was announced by the Harrison County Commissioners last week with Commissioner Dustin Corder spending nearly 15 minutes reading several groups of bids beginning with two structures on Jewett-Germano Road in German Township.
For demolition work only, Stull Excavating came in with the lowest bid with an overall sum of $19,350. Dig It Man Excavating was next with a close $20,000. Kovarik Excavating was third at $21,700 and finally Raze International at a distance of $124,089. Without the asbestos amount Raze was still significantly higher at $71,568.
