Pastor's Pen
Churches must return to discipleship, evangelism, pastor says
Margaret E. Warner
Margaret Eileen Warner (nee Bigley) age 99, beloved wife for nearly 70 years of the late Anthony; loving mother of Toni Perkins (husband William) and Felix (wife Marilisa); devoted grandmother of Shawna Simpson (husband David), Todd Perkins (wife Racheal), Britni Eisler (husband Jerad), Chelsey Warner, and Anthony Warner, and great-grandmother of Madeline Simpson, Grace Simpson, Dorian Eisler, Lennon Eisler, Lucien Eisler, Alex Perkins, and Gabriel Perkins; cherished daughter of the late John and Elsie (nee Riley) Bigley; dearest sister of the late John Bigley (wife Clara, deceased).
Margaret, fondly referred to as Eileen, was born on August 30, 1926, in Chicora, Pennsylvania. She was the finest and kindest lady you would ever meet. You could frequently find her at any one of the churches in the greater Cleveland area playing Bingo and socializing with her friends. She had the greatest sense of humor, loved her nightly Irish toasts, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a Navy wife nearly all of her life and loved to travel the world with her husband and family. She will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Eileen to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH 44024, at 9:30 AM. Burial followed at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 12:15 PM. Online obituary and guestbook at www.DeJohnCares.com.
