Forrest Frederick Thaxton, known as Frosty to his family, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on July 16,2023 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on September 12, 1934, in Smyrna, Ohio to the late Forrest H. and Eva Frederick Thaxton.

He was a graduate of Cadiz High School and The Ohio State University Law School. He retired from the Ohio Industrial Commission where he served as referee for 35 years. He was a member of the Ohio Bar Association and practiced law privately for several years.

He is survived by his sons Jeffery (Carla) Thaxton of Cadiz and Kurt (Karla) Thaxton of Loveland, Ohio.Also surviving are grandchildren Emily (Chad) Rogers of Cadiz, Brian (Heidi) Thaxton of Jewett and Matthew (Ash) Thaxton of Chicago, IL., great grandchildren Carley and Kimber Rogers and Noah, Grant and Louis Thaxton. Also surviving is his sister Karen Barker of Albion, IL. and her family.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his brother-in-law, Kenny Barker.

After cremation, his remains will be interred at the family’s convenience.
