Bonnie Jean (Little) Stevens, age 88, of Coshocton County, Ohio, passed away on January 3, 2026, at her home. Bonnie was born on March 15, 1937, in Bel Fouche, South Dakota, to Richard C. and Ellen M. (Smith) Little. Bonnie lived in South Dakota for the first twelve years of her life. She then moved to Ohio when her grandfather Little wanted Bonnie's dad to come back to take over the family farm near Wakatomika. There, Bonnie went to school in Dresden, Ohio.
Bonnie married Herbert L. Stevens on April 17, 1954, at Chalfant Church, the oldest church in Coshocton County and her home church throughout her life. Bonnie worked at Edmont Glove Factory until Herbert came home from the marines. She was a homemaker for years, busy with family and 4-H. She had a cooking and sewing club with Wanda Mason for twenty years. Bonnie, along with Melba Moran, had Young Equestrians 4-H Horse Club for several years. Bonnie started driving school bus for River View local school district in 1980 until 1996. She got her fifteen years in to retire. Bonnie and her husband Herb raised registered Morgan horses from 1965 until 2018. Bonnie raised and sold a lot of Morgan horses to the Amish. Bonnie loved to sew quilts, raise flowers, and go to Amish country.
Bonnie and Herb had seven children, six sons and one daughter: Steven Stevens, Michael (Mary), Rodney, Herbert, Bruce, Brock, and Annette (Kenny) Moore. Bonnie also has twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild! Bonnie loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren!
Calling hours were held at The Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm and one hour prior to the service. The funeral service was held at the Chalfant Church in Dresden on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11am. Burial followed at the Chalfant Cemetery.
