Myron Eugene “Gene”
Wood, Jr., 45, of Adena, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2025,
at Trinity Medical Center West. He was born on May 15, 1980, in Wheeling, West
Virginia to Myron Eugene Wood, Sr. and Terrie Sue Kendziorski. Gene was a 1998
graduate of Hundred High School in West Virginia. He then went on to attend
Fairmont State and earned his degree online in Computer Engineering. He was a
computer whiz and loved working on them. He also loved listening to music and
had a wide range—from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Dr. Dre, he listened to it all. He was
incredibly intelligent and had a photographic memory. He adored his niece and
nephews and was the best uncle. He also adored his fur best friend, Joker AKA
Puppers.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Henry Kendziorski and Doris and Bill Ward; aunts and uncles, Faye Taggart,
Richard (Diane) Wood, Sr., and Bill Decker. He is survived by his mother,
Terrie Kendziorski of Adena, Ohio; father and step-mother, Gene and Fern Wood
Sr. of Hopedale, Ohio; son, Jordan Morgan of Morgantown, West Virginia;
grandma, Marlene Kendziorski; sister, Mandi Cook of Adena, Ohio; brother, Henry
Wood of Adena, Ohio; little sister, Taitum; nephews and niece, Braden Cook,
Andrew Cook and Addison Cook; aunts and uncles, Mike (Dana) Kendziorski, Davy
(Lisa) Kendziorski, Sherie (Scott) Anthony, Sharon (Bruce) Wade, Sue (John)
Blawut, Deb Decker, Bill (Kathy) Ward, Jr., and Rhonda (Tony) Kinzie; as well
as many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on
Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral
service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donna Bishop officating at Clark-Kirkland-Barr
Funeral Home in Cadiz. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that
donations be made to the Humane Society of Harrison County, P.O. Box 404,
Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
