Everett Wayne Murral, 84, of Ostrander passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 15, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 15, 1939 in Jewett, Ohio to the late Samuel Henry Murral and Violet Iona (Dinger) Murral and graduated from Cadiz High School. On June 1, 1963 in Flushing, Ohio, he married the love of his life Jean Lewis. Together they shared 60 years of marriage.
A welder and mechanic, Everett operated his own business for years. Everett was a member of the Flushing Masonic Lodge # 298, Order of Eastern Star, George Behrens Chapter 504 of Delaware, Scottish Rites and the NRA. He also served as a church elder at Flushing Christian Church and was currently a member at Grace Baptist Church in Delaware.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, roller skating, riding motorcycles, and old fashion jeeps. Reading the bible every day, he loved the Lord and always prayed for his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jean; sons, Michael (Maureen) of Cleveland and Gary of Centerburg; daughter, Debra “Debbie” (Bob) Barr of Eugene, Missouri; grandchildren, Evan, Colin, Alyssa, Jessica, Connor, Emma, Abigail, Sarah, and Aly; great granddaughter, Audrey; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Lewis and Larry Murral.
The family received friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where funeral services were held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:00 am with family friend Don James officiating. Private burial will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
