“To make a long story short”, Charles S. Strean, 92 of Cadiz, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1930 in Steubenville, a son of the late Harold E. and Vareda E. McIntyre Strean Applegate.

He was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz and retired on August 1, 1986 as Manager of Sales and Service from Titanium Metals Corporation.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Strean; and a son-in-law, Steve Barnhart.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Edith E. Siegl Strean; sons: Michael D. (Sondra Sutherland) Strean of Wintersville and Ross A. Davis of New Philadelphia; daughters: Kelly S. (Calvin) Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lisa (Tim) Suk of Delaware, Ohio, Brenda (Gary) Kish of Smithfield and Audrey Barnhart of Cadiz; daughter-in-law, Ruth Strean of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Per his request, cremation has taken place. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
