Matthew D. Vance, age 63, died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Coshocton, Ohio. He was born February 21, 1962, to Roy N. Vance, Jr. and Maxine (Lightner) Vance in Buffalo, NY.

At an early age, Matt enjoyed the outdoors during family vacations across the US and Canada. He and his father actively participated in Boy Scouts, with Matt earning the rank of Eagle Scout. After he graduated from North Tonawanda, NY High School, he moved to Colorado where he lived for over thirty years. He worked for NBI Incorporated in Bolder and was selected to consult with their locations in Scotland and England. He moved to Coshocton to be closer to family and was a customer representative at Walmart, Rural King, and Buehler’s.

Matt is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Miles) Lauchli of Thornton, CO; sister, Mindy (Russ) Fehrman of Coshocton; niece, Leslie (Jessalyn) Fehrman of Coshocton; nephew, Mitchell (Tabatha) Fehrman of Burlington, KY, and their families. In addition, his stepmother, Kay Farrell Vance of Penfield, NY and cousin, Cathie (Bill) Backlund of Westfield, NY survive.A private family service will be held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
