Lois "Jean" Holt
Danville – Lois “Jean” Holt, 94, passed away on September 3, 2025. Jean was born on October 13, 1930, to the late Walter and Mildred (Miller) Gessling. She was a graduate of Danville High School and very much loved her school and her community. On March 20, 1949, she married Phillip Ivan Holt, who preceded her in death in 1994. Together they raised their children on the family farm just outside of Tiverton. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Gieseler; grandchildren Kelsey, Courtney, Brett, John Robert, and Derek; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Holt. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Blaine Holt; grandson, Brandon; son-in-law, Jack Geiseler, two brothers and three sisters. Calling hours will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. A private interment will take place in Tiverton Cemetery.
