Linda K. McNeely
Linda K. McNeely, age 76, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, on December 26, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 1, 1949, in Coshocton Hospital to the late Everett L. and Edna (Green) Baker of Coshocton County, Ohio. Linda married James (Jim) McNeely on June 28, 1986, who proceeded Linda in death on March 5, 2023. Linda and Jim were introduced in August 1984 by Linda’s brother Stanley Baker. They knew at first glimpse that they had each finally met the love of their lives.
Linda fondly recalled her childhood on the family farm in eastern Coshocton County and the importance of family, friends, and faith. She was a graduate of Coshocton High School (1968) and attended Columbus Business University in Columbus, Ohio. Her career included Home Loan, Coshocton Radiology, and Coshocton Chiropractic Health Center. She was a member of Plainfield United Methodist Church. Linda was an avid reader, researcher, and cook who enjoyed experimenting in her kitchen. She also enjoyed gardening, needlework, and painting.
Linda is survived by one brother, Stanley D. (Jean) Baker, a niece Debora (Jeff) Baker Custer, and nephew David L. Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Hazel (Baker) Turvey, a brother Edward L. (Bonnie) Baker, and a nephew Ronald L. Baker.
A private funeral service is being planned at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home in Coshocton. Interment will be conducted at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Coshocton in Bloom, P.O. Box 1221, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
