MASSILLON- Doreen “Deanie” Taylor, 94, formerly of Warsaw, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Danbury of Massillon.
She was born August 9, 1931, in Coshocton County to the late Raymond Beck and Glada Welker. She was a 1949 graduate of Warsaw High School and lived in Warsaw all her life until 2017. She married John J. Taylor on May 30, 1968, who preceded her in death January 7, 2009.
Deanie worked at the Farmer’s & Merchant’s Bank and Coshocton National Bank in Warsaw for 19 years. She and her husband John owned and operated John Taylor’s Used Car business in Warsaw for 30 years.
In 1991, she became the first woman President of the Warsaw Alumni Association. She was a lifetime member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, where she held many offices. It was there where she enjoyed her time working for Jacob’s Closet. She also was a past-President of the former Warsaw Jr. Sorosis Club.
She loved to play softball and was a pitcher. She also loved her Cleveland Indians. She and John enjoyed traveling in their motor home, and loved her dogs, “Spunky”, Ginger”, and “Little Skeeter”.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Judith “Judy” Barrick of Canton; grandchildren, Mark (Cathy) Barrick of Chesapeake, VA, Vonda Snyder of Navarre, Doug (Amy) Barrick of Canton, and Beth (Emmett) Hickey of Texas; as well as many grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw,. Rev. Dairel Kaiser officiated. Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. FischerFuneralHome.com
