Craig A. Myers, age 74, of Coshocton entered heaven’s gates on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1951. Craig was a lifelong resident of Coshocton, Ohio.
He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1969, attended Rio Grande College, and worked for 36 years at AEP Conesville. He married Debbie Hedges in 1975, and this July they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Craig was an avid sports fan. He particularly loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians/Guardians, Browns, and Cavaliers. As a high school athlete, Craig played baseball and basketball. While a collegiate athlete, he excelled in baseball as a catcher. Many memories were made through these experiences and retold over the years.
Throughout his adult life, he coached legion and recreational baseball, took many fishing trips, hunted mushrooms, and vacationed at the beach with his family. During his 15 years of retirement, he enjoyed many days on the golf course. He was magnificent on the grill and smoker and was also known for his award-winning chili. He even perfected the chocolate chip cookie! Every month for the last 17 years, he helped prepare a community meal at Grace United Methodist Church. When he wasn’t watching a game, golfing, or cooking, he also enjoyed completing puzzles, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, listening to music, and spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Lilly.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughter, Yvonne (Anthony) Rush; son, Kyle (Kimberly) Myers; adopted son, Charles (Linda) Crossley; 12 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Douglas Knisely; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donnie, and Margene Myers; brother, Vaughn Myers; and sister, Tanya Freniere.
It goes without saying that Craig will be greatly missed by many. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his loved ones, and his legacy of a life well lived will not be forgotten.
