Carole Gilbert
Carole Lynn Gilbert, 81, of Big Prairie, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday September 25, 2025, at Aultman Hospital, following a short illness. She was surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services were held at 12 noon, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Bishop Craven officiated. Burial followed at Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio. Friends were able to call one hour prior to the service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Carole was born to Phillip R. Hazlett and Loretta M. Eamon on June 28, 1944, in Mansfield, Ohio. She later married Stanley R. Gilbert on July 30, 1966. Carole was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wooster, Ohio. She was employed for 24 years at Millersburg Walmart as a people greeter and was a former firefighter in Nashville, Ohio. Carole loved to spend time with her family and her dog Theo, she also loved to travel and go to casinos.
Carole is survived by her children, Christopher (Heather Mott) Gilbert of Lakeville, Laura (Jamie) Rogers of the home; grandchildren, Aaron (Heidi Morlang) Gilbert of the home, George “Billy” (Caitlin Cole) Litten of Newcomerstown, Breanna “Little ole Girl” Gilbert of Millersburg, Darien Rogers of the home, Shannon Gilbert of Michigan, Mariah Gilbert; great grandchildren Alexander Bell, Jeshua Evans, Marcus and Kaydence Litten and her sister Bonnie Hazlett.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Stanley, her parents, brother Robert Hazlett, sons Kenny Gilbert and Robert Gilbert and her daughter Kelly Gilbert.
