Terry Lee
Satterfield, 73, of New Rumley, Ohio, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 1,
2025, at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Born April 11, 1952, in Wheeling,
WV he was a son of the late Joseph Howard Satterfield and Ethel Bernadine Cross
Satterfield.
He
is survived by his children Christina (Charlie) Davis of North Dakota, Tim
(Cristy) Satterfield, AKA “Pitbull” (an inside joke with my dad) of Jewett,
Terri Lynn (Brandon) Haney of Scio and Angela Satterfield of New Philadelphia;
nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers Larry (Lindee)
Satterfield, Dave Satterfield, Gary Satterfield and Doug (Trisha) Satterfield;
sisters Betty (Tom) Poland, Sandy (companion Bill Toker) Satterfield and Wanda
Satterfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Janet Lawver,
Debbie Satterfield and Patricia Ann Satterfield, a brother Rick Satterfield and
brothers-in-law George Lawver and Richard Toker.
After
graduating from Mt Pleasant High School in 1970, Terry spent over 50 years
working as a heavy equipment operator in the local coal industry. He loved
anything to do with horses and never missed the opportunity to watch rodeos
broadcast on television. Throughout his life he rode horses and participated in
calf roping in his younger years. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson
motorcycle and being a jokester to his family and friends. He will forever be
missed by them all.
Honoring
his wishes, cremation is planned and his family will hold a celebration of his
life at a future date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities www.ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org, or a Horse Rescue Charity of the donors choosing. Koch
Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
