Robert Boals
Robert Croskey Boals, 78, of Hopedale, passed away on April 20, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on January 30, 1946, a son of the late Lawrence and Vernie Boals.
Robert is a veteran having served in both the Navy and Marines from January 5, 1966, to January 4, 1972. He then worked as a millwright at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the Hopedale Church of Christ and the Hopedale American Legion. Most of all, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother, Leland Boals.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Boals; son, Robert (Haley) Boals of Scio, Ohio; 2 daughters, Farrah (Bryan) Rensi of Hopedale, Ohio and Nicole (Rickey) Twarog of Flushing, Ohio; grandchildren, Shaylynn Dornbush, Taylor Morris, Kodi Rose, Jordan Murphy, Paige Boals, Braxtin Murphy, Hunter Boals and Danica Rensi; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Kanyon Rose; and a brother-in-law who he raised as a son, Dennis (Carole) Raber and his two children who are like grandchildren, Audrey and Rowland Raber.
A visitation was held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 2-5 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home in Cadiz, Ohio. Military honors were conducted by the Hopedale American Legion at 5:00p.m. The funeral service will follow military honors with Dean Blythe officiating.
