They’re Coming to Take Me Away
Jane Willis
Jane Ellen Wallace Willis, 81, of Clermont, Georgia passed away on January 19, 2024. She was the fourth of ten children of Max and Phyllis (Heavilin) Wallace. Her parents preceded her in death.
Jane graduated from Cadiz High School in 1960 and worked for Eastern Airlines for a number of years. She settled in Atlanta, Georgia to marry Dan Delacy Willis Jr. Dan passed away July 19, 2021. They are survived by their children Matthew (Heather) Willis and Sara Brown, along with grandchildren Hannah Willis, Meredith Willis, Evan Willis, Madeline Brown, and Charlotte Brown.
Jane enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and enjoying the outdoors with her dogs and chickens.
She is survived by siblings: Linda May, Sandy Hoyte, Keith (Jayne), Stan (Delma), Melora (Roger) Mencer, Kevin (Pam), Tenley (Keith) Telfer, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Faith Knight and Rebecca Lipinski.
Services will be held Saturday, April 13 at Deersville Faith and Fellowship Church, Deersville,Ohio with Pastor Mike Cunningham officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:30-11:30, followed by services at 11:30. Burial of Jane and Dan will follow in Patterson Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in their honor to the window fund at DeersvilleFaith and Fellowship Church, PO Box 59, Deersville Ohio 44693, or to an animal humane society of your choice in tribute to Jane’s deep compassion for animals, particularly dogs and chickens.
