Helen E. Barcroft
Our beloved mother, Helen E Barcroft, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home on September 7th with her 6 children by her side along with her cat she named Baby. She was born on May 29, 1942, a daughter of Charles and Anna Lee Wheeler Eickleberry. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always there for her family offering support and love in abundance. She was known for her kindness and strength. She always put her family first. She enjoyed spending time with family even if it was just going for a long car ride, shopping and going out to eat.
She was a retired Cadiz police office as a major serving the department for over 30 years. She touched countless lives during her career as a police officer. Her strength and wisdom inspired all who knew and worked with her.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband Bill Barcroft whom she was married to for 48 years. Her brothers, Donald Eickleberry, Bob Eickleberry, Carl Eickleberry and a sister, Louise Hennen. A grandson, Drew Palmer, granddaughter, Stacy Brooks. A special sister-in-law, Janet (Sis) Spaar, brother-in- law, Ed Barcroft.
Surviving are her 6 children, Diana Jones, Chuck (Erin) Barcroft, Darlene (Gene) Brooks, Donna (Archie) Best, Bill (Joy) Barcroft, DeeDee (Mark) Barcroft. Along with 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandkids. Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Joe (Sally) Barcroft and Bob (Rhonda) Barcroft, and her sister-in-law Nancy Ott.
Visitation was Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz where her funeral services were Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will follow Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
