Daniel Hobbs
Daniel L. Hobbs passed away on May 6, aged 66, at his home in Cadiz, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer. He was born January 7, 1958 in Troy, New York a son of the late Charles and Barbara Hobbs.
He drove for oil and gas for many years, and spent time making oil pad booklets unique to the area for other drivers to benefit. He was a dedicated member and teacher at Mount Shiloh Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years, as an electronics technician, SEAL, and diver.
Dan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Roxanne, and his six children, Tabitha (Justin) Roberts, Dennis (Sarah) Hobbs, Dawson (Hannah) Hobbs, Cornelia (Curtis) Wagner, Joanna (Kyle) Bryan, and Rebekah Hobbs; and four grandchildren. As well as his three siblings: Charles (Dorothy) Hobbs, Diana Sollars and Lynda Hauser.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church, 83522 Baker’s Ridge Road, Cadiz, with Rev. Clint Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made in his honor to the ministry of www.91four.org.
