Charles Hayes Sr.
Charles Richard Hayes, Sr., 81, of Cadiz, passed away, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Gables Care Center in Hopedale, Ohio. He was born July 14, 1942, in Duncanwood, Ohio, a son of the late Thomas and Pearl Padgett Hayes.
Charles is a veteran having served in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a retired Truck Driver and loved animals. Most of all he was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hayes, Jr. and 4 siblings.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Jean Roghelia Hayes; children: Anthony (Megan) Hayes of Cadiz; Rick (Kerri) Roghelia of Cadiz and Tammy Hendrix of Mingo Junction; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Pete) Lishick of Adena, Ohio.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service at 1:00pm at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home with Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.
