Peggy A. Swaldo
Peggy A. Swaldo, age 83 of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, died while in the care of Community Hospice in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, following a battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born in New Philadelphia on March 1, 1935, Peggy was a daughter of the late Warren B. and Helen E. Walton Lorenz.
Peggy attended the former Tuscarawas-Warwick School and worked for many years at the former Puritan Laundry at New Philadelphia. She enjoyed baking and having her faith nurtured at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sharon Moravian Church.
Peggy is survived by her son, Kevin (Terri) Swaldo of Talmadge, Ohio; two granddaughters, Jade (Justin) Kilpatrick of New Philadelphia and Jewel (Zach) Sanders of Sherrodsville; her twin sister, Patty Cole of Uhrichsville; her sister, Donna Affolter of Tuscarawas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Swaldo, and her siblings, Charles, Tom, Mary, Kenny, Jimmy, Linda, Bill and Bob Lorenz.
Private burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia. A memorial service will be held in the Sharon Moravian Church at a later date. Cremation care has been conducted by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
