Owen Mellor Jr.
Together Again
Owen Mellor Jr., age 91, of Killbuck, Ohio, was reunited in Heaven with his wife, his best friend on December 12, 2025, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, at the Killbuck Church of Christ with pastors Mark Snow and Ric Snyder officiating. Burial will take place at Killbuck Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 21 at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Killbuck Fire Department or to the Killbuck Church of Christ.
Owen was born May 20, 1934, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of the late Owen and Laura (Hawkins) Mellor Sr. On May 25, 1956, he married Marilyn Carpenter, and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2009.
Owen was a graduate of Warsaw High School. He retired at the age of 52 from Holmes County Highway Department and worked many years at Moore's Lawn and Garden. Owen was a member of the Killbuck Church of Christ and the Classic Cruiser Car Club of Millersburg.
He leaves behind three children: Gary (Diane) Mellor, Deanne (Mark) Twining and Douglas Mellor; three grandchildren: Jared (Brittney) Mellor, Jeff (Carly) Mellor, and Steven (fiancé, Catie) Mellor; and two great-grandchildren: Owen and Violet Mellor.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by all his siblings: John, Glenn, Freddie, Edgar, Asa, Ruth, Helen, Ada, and Alice.
