Monroe L. Beachy
Monroe L. Beachy, 92, of Sugarcreek, Ohio, passed away at the Truman Hospice House on Thursday, December 25, 2025, after a time of declining health.
He was born on October 12, 1933, to the late Emanuel and Gertie (Hershberger) Beachy. On November 14, 1957, he married Alma Troyer who preceded him in death on March 1, 2019.
He was a member of the Amish Church.
He is survived by his five children, James (Rebecca) Beachy, Lester (Ruby) Beachy both of Sugarcreek, Rachel Beachy of the home, Mark (Martha) Beachy of Sugarcreek, and Rosanna Beachy of the home; 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife Alma, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Beachy; two grandchildren, Peter Beachy and Jolene Beachy; a great-grandchild, Kate Beachy; a sister, Clara (Wayne) Mullet; and stepmother, Susie (Yoder) Beachy.
He also had seven step siblings, Ammon, David, Andy, Dan, Jonathan, Edna, and Raymond.
Funeral services were held at the Levi Erb residence, 3553 TR 162, Sugarcreek, on Sunday, December 28, at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Delon Miller officiated. Burial followed in the Beachy Cemetery. Friends were able to call at the Levi Erb residence after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
