Marilyn Peebles
Marilyn M. Peebles, 86, of Millersburg, and formerly of Lakeville made her last ride October 28, 2025, to her ranch in the sky. She was met by Spike, her favorite cowboy.
She was born December 2, 1939, in Millersburg, to the late Clarence and Catherine Mae (Gilbert) Boley Doty. On December 19, 1958, she married Delmar (Spike) Peebles, they had been married 54 years when he passed on Dec. 24, 2012.
For many years, she was involved with Horse 4-H in Holmes County, she was also a major figure with the Holmes County Saddle Club. Marilyn enjoyed being a timer for Ohio High School Rodeo and was involved with Troutman/ Mitchell Horse Sale for over 20 years. Her love for horses was life long, from little girl to grown adult, still riding in her 60’s. She retired from SeaLand in Big Prairie after many years of service.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Pam, and son David; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents by her sister Sue Myers and an infant brother, Danny.
