John A. Troyer, 69, of Berlin, OH passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, September 13, 2025, after a year-long battle with cancer.
He was born on March 4, 1956, to the late Alvin E. and Mary Ann (Yoder) Troyer. On May 28, 1992, he married Alma Erb who survives.
John was a woodworker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife Alma, he is survived by his son, Marion (Saloma) Troyer of the home; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, John and Zachariah; siblings, Mose (Katie) Troyer of Millersburg, Ben (Susie) Troyer of Holmesville, Roy (Susan) Troyer of Millersburg, Anna Troyer of Millersburg, Fannie Troyer of Wooster, Mary (Dennis) Miller of Millersburg; brother-in-law, Cornelius (Edith) Fehr of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Dala (late Emanuel) Troyer of Millersburg and Clara (late Jonas) Troyer of Millersburg; along with many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Fehr; brothers, Emanuel, and Jonas; a nephew, Andy Troyer; and parents-in-law, Menno and Mattie Erb.
Funeral services were held at Valley View Machine, 4808 TR 367, Millersburg, on Tuesday, September 16, at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Reuben Mast officiated. Burial followed in the Troyer Cemetery. Friends were able to call at Valley View Machine after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and any time on Monday.
