Betty Jo Patterson, age 91, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Betty was born May 15, 1934, in Killbuck, Ohio, and was the daughter of Mamie and Harry Patterson. 

She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Trae and John Kropf of Lakeville. 

She loved all of her nieces and nephews; grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; and Ritchey nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her long-time companion, Lewis Ritchey; sisters: Dora (Wilford) VanSickle, Eva (Ray) McDonald, Okey (Charles) Hoffer, Naomi (John) Lender, Mary (Robert) Hoxworth, Helen (Tom) Mullet, Lucie (Dave) Tipton; and brothers: Wells (Edna) Patterson, Harry "Pat" (Lee) Patterson, Earl "Peck" (Charlene) Patterson; and two infant: brothers, Glenn and Charles.

Betty graduated from Clark High School and lived in Holmes County all her life. She owned and operated Patterson Personnel, a professional recruiting company, in Millersburg for over 30 years. Prior to that, she worked with Seaman Corp. at the Millersburg location. 

She loved her family, friends, and politics and she loved working. She was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor. 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18th at Alexander Funeral Home. Pastor Paula Koch officiated. Burial took place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends were able to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
